This would also be the reason why some places would not list it as compatible with Gigabyte, due too them using two different headers over the years. There maybe adaptor cables still around you can get to make it work tho. Only thing to look out for is that older gigabyte motherboards (Z370 or lower) ran a different 3 pin header call VDG, if you have a older motherboard then this may be a issue.
